Still Here, Dammit
All my daddy writing is now housed over at Parents.com, or in anthologies that aren't appearing for another year. Enjoy it all here.
Meanwhile, because I am very greedy for alternative-press money, I have begun to write a twice-monthly sports column for the LA City Beat. This one about roller derby is my favorite. In the most recent column, I complain about the Dodgers. Again. For fans (of good writing) only.

Neal! Unfortunately my comment has nothing to do with the blog post, but I didn't see your email posted anywhere (and probably for good reason). This morning I just finished Alternadad. My brother, from L.A., bought it for me for my birthday back in January and I finally cracked it open on a European tour with my band. I was expecting at the time and now have an awesome little blob that poohs, pees, and sleeps without being able to hold his head up that is 5 weeks old. I just want to say thank you for putting things in perspective in a round about way. I feared any coolness in my would subside, but I'm still gigging, touring to New York in September and have a mission to read more of your books. Rock on brotha...Matt in Chicago.

Again, nothing to do with the blog. I just read your Men's Health article about raising a wimp. Go tothe library and check out, The Out-of Sync Child. There will be many "ah-ha' moments as you read it.

I just read the post on Gawker and to be honest I must have missed something because I don't see what the point of it was. I'm not really sure what they were getting at. Anyway sorry you had to go through that. Please don't let it get to you. Gawker is really low... I mean the lowest of the low.

NP, my wife sent me this from her new favorite mom blog du jour and it got me wondering a bit if we are all fooling ourselves. Apparently we all need to talk more? What do you think?
